Make an Army Red VS Blue Gate Path Helper — Multiply vs Risk

A mid-run checklist for UH Games Offical's Roblox beta when splits appear faster than you can math.

Gate Path Helper

Every run in Make an Army : Red VS Blue [Beta] lives or dies at gates. You auto-sprint toward splits while labels flash multipliers, flat troop adds, coin bursts, or risky shortcuts. Hesitate and momentum carries you into the wrong lane; guess wrong and you enter the arena with a squad too small to survive Pharaoh, Emperor, or a stacked opposing team.

This Gate Path Helper is a decision framework, not a script. Use it beside the deep theory on Gates and Paths and the session overview in How to Play. Numbers change while the game stays in early access—created June 2026, updated August 2026—so treat thresholds as rules of thumb and verify after patches on the Updates Hub.

Quick gate types you will see

Gate label (typical)What it doesDefault priority
x2 / x3 / x5 multiplyMultiplies current squad countHigh early, medium late
+N troops flatAdds fixed unitsHigh when squad is tiny
Coin / gem burstCurrency now, no unitsMedium—see checklist below
Risk / shortcutHigh reward, fail state or trapLow until you know the map
Armor / weapon previewSometimes routes to shop segmentFollow if broke on DPS

Exact wording varies by stage skin. Read icons and numbers, not only color.

The multiply versus risk core rule

Multiply scales what you already have; flat adds rescue empty runs; risk gates gamble everything.

Early run (squad under ~15): prefer flat adds or low multipliers you can actually feel. A x5 multiply on three soldiers still leaves you weaker than a +20 flat lane.

Mid run (squad ~15–60): multiply gates become king. Each x2 or x3 compounding step widens the gap more than another small coin pile.

Late run (pre-arena): skip coin unless you cannot afford a mandatory weapon tier from Better Army Guide. Enter battles with headcount, not wallet fluff.

Risk gates—narrow paths, moving obstacles, or “wrong way” jokes—belong last until you memorize layouts from repeated attempts. One failed risk lane can erase two good multiply picks.

Pre-split checklist (five seconds)

Run this mentally at every fork:

  1. Count — Rough squad size now? Under 10, bias flat adds. Over 40, bias multiply.
  2. Boss clock — Fighting Pharaoh or Emperor soon? See Beat Bosses; stack multiply two splits before arena.
  3. Wallet — Cannot buy minimum weapon upgrade? One coin gate is acceptable if multiply option is only x2 on a huge squad already.
  4. Co-op — Teammate called a lane? Sync before steering; split teams waste gates in five-player lobbies.
  5. Patch memory — Did Updates Hub note a gate nerf this week? Downgrade risky shortcuts first.

Multiply gate decision tree

START at split
|
+-- Squad < 10? --> Take flat +N unless multiply is x5+ AND you have 8+ units
|
+-- Squad 10-40? --> Prefer highest multiply (x3 beats x2 beats coins)
|
+-- Squad 40+? --> Multiply still wins; only take coins if shop mandatory
|
+-- Risk gate labeled? --> Skip unless practicing or squad is 2x your last win

When two multiply lanes show different values, take the higher multiplier unless the lower lane pairs with a visible armor icon you desperately need.

Risk gate decision tree

Risk is not “bad”—it is variance. Use risk when:

  • You already cleared the stage twice and want badge speed.
  • Your squad is so large a partial loss still beats previous personal best.
  • Co-op partner can call obstacle timing—see Controls for clean steering.

Avoid risk when:

  • First attempt on a new stage after a beta patch.
  • Squad under 20 heading into first boss check.
  • You do not recognize the obstacle pattern (new art reskin).

Coin gate timing checklist

Coins and gems fund upgrades from Coins and Gems. Take a coin gate when all are true:

  • Next shop segment is within one split.
  • You are one purchase short of a weapon tier spike.
  • Multiply option is only x2 while squad is already 50+.
  • You are not within two splits of arena combat.

Otherwise coins are a comfort pick that steals compound growth.

Co-op callout sheet (copy phrases)

Keep voice chat short in online multiplayer (max five players):

  • “Flat left—small squad.”
  • “Multiply right—stack now.”
  • “Skip risk—first run.”
  • “Coins only—need gun upgrade.”
  • “Follow me—memorized path.”

Assign one caller per run; rotate caller next session so everyone learns layouts.

Common mistakes this tool fixes

Chasing coins early. Beta shop prices feel tight, but under-sized armies earn less per arena anyway. Fix: two multiply splits, then one coin if needed.

Multiply on empty squads. x3 on four units yields twelve—often worse than +25 flat. Fix: read the checklist count step.

Copying YouTube routes blindly. Creators may record pre-patch values. Fix: compare video date to Updates Hub and validate in-game numbers.

Using scripts instead of routes. Infinite money scripts rarely work on place ID 121127868367976; see Scripts Hub. Fix: practice gates legitimately.

After the run debrief

Spend sixty seconds noting:

  • Which split first dropped squad below plan?
  • Did you enter arena above or below your last troop count?
  • Was currency actually the bottleneck—or DPS from Better Army Guide?

Adjust the next run’s checklist answers instead of repeating identical paths.

Drill session (ten minutes)

  1. Queue solo on a stage you have partially cleared.
  2. Open this page on a second screen.
  3. Run three attempts using only multiply-first rules—no risk lanes.
  4. Fourth attempt: add one calculated risk gate and compare arena entry count.
  5. Log differences in a notes app; cross-link confusing gates to Gates and Paths for math.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers players ask before every match.

When should I pick multiply over flat troop adds?

Pick flat adds when your squad is under roughly ten units. Once you pass the mid-teens, multiply gates usually outperform small flat bonuses and coin lanes.

Are risk gates ever worth it in beta?

Yes, but only after you know the obstacle pattern or your squad is large enough to survive a partial loss. Skip risk on first attempts after patches.

How does this helper relate to the Gates and Paths guide?

This page is a short checklist for live decisions. Gates and Paths explains the underlying math, trap layouts, and stage-specific examples in depth.

Do gate values change after updates?

They can. The experience is in early-access beta with updates through August 2026. Check the Updates Hub after each patch before relying on old routes.

Can I use this tool in co-op?

Yes. Use the co-op callout phrases so one player announces multiply versus risk while others steer. Works in five-player Roblox servers.
